Dear Visitor,

Thank you for visiting my website.  I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving the community of Los Gatos, California and the surrounding communities of Saratoga, Monte Sereno, Cupertino, Sunnyvale and San Jose.  The fact that you are at the website of a Psychotherapist tells me that you are a courageous person who is looking to make some improvements in your life.

My work is about relationships.  As a therapist I am blessed with the opportunity to be with the people I serve, assisting them, through our relationship, to improve their relationships with themselves and the important people in their lives.  I learn and continue to grow through my relationship with each of these individuals, as each has something unique and beautiful to offer.

If, after reading my website, you feel we are a good match please feel free to email or call me.  If not, there are many very good therapists out there and you will find one who is.  Whatever you do, please do not give up on your search. Your life is much too precious for that.  I have created a Links & Resources page listing many good resources for you to use to help you in your search.  Wherever your journey takes you, please remember to enjoy the ride.

Warmly,

Are you feeling unhappy in your self, your life, or your relationships?

Do you stay up late at night tossing and turning and trying to fall asleep? Do you feel irritable during the day, avoid relationships or activities you once found pleasurable and can’t seem to get things done that you know are important? Do you find yourself worrying about your job, your kids, your finances, your life?

Are you or your spouse or partner experiencing a lack in connection in your relationship?  Are you missing the intimacy you once shared, thinking about divorce and wondering if your relationship is even worth fighting for anymore?

Are you going through a transition; entering or leaving a relationship, becoming a parent for the first time, launching your kids, changing or losing your job, taking care of your elderly parent(s) or tending to the medical or emotional needs of your spouse or child?

Do you feel like you just can’t muster the energy to get out of bed in the morning and once you do get up feel like you just can’t get your wheels turning and wondering if it’s even worth trying?

Are you having trouble getting your kids to do what you want them to do? Is your adolescent refusing to follow your rules, defiant, experimenting with drugs or alcohol or both?  Do you sometimes wonder who is in charge?

Don't give up- there is hope!

Most people have felt like this at one time or another and often they are able to revive their vibrancy and reconnect with themselves and loved ones on their own.  And sometimes you just need a little help and that’s where I come in.  My job is to help you reconnect with yourself in a way that’s meaningful to you and your unique and wonderful self.  I will also work with you and your partner or spouse to help you find your individual balance and the balance within your relationship as a couple so that you may reconnect with each other in a way that feels right for you both.

As mammals we are wired to focus our attention externally; on someone or something outside of ourselves as the source of our displeasure, pain and or unhappiness (the boss, the spouse, the kids, etc).  This often leaves us feeling powerless, unhappy and stuck.

While it is undoubtedly true that there are extraneous factors that are contributing to the unhappiness; the truth is we hold the power, within ourselves, to create the life and the relationships we want.  Our ability to access our inner self; the one who is not stuck, the one who throughout it all has remained whole and complete, can be attained through the courageous act of taking the time to be with oneself in a very deep and honest manner to make contact with and to honor our deepest truths and desires.

“In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.”
